10.5.08 Simultanious Services

Hey everyone,
I wanted to throw out a few questions on this past Sunday for feedback so we can improve for next week. Here they are:

- How well did you think the communication was from room to room, Technical Director to Camera Operators, and Room Directors to Pastoral Staff? Was is clear and consistent? If not, what would you change?

- Were the scripts marked with all the notes that were needed? What could be added or removed from the scripts?

- How was the setup and placement of equipment, laptops, and anything else you may have used or seen?

Any other comments/concerns/feedback are always welcome and encouraged as well!

Description:
This session will show you how to operate the video cameras as well as what to look for when taping a worship service.


Time: 10:30AM-11:00AM
Class Title: Video Directing
Teacher: Fran Gullo
Location: Audio/Video Suite
Description:
In the session you will learn the basic terminology of live video as well as how to direct the camera operators and how the video switcher works.

Class Title: Media Presentation

Description:
An overview of the media presentation software we use at PCNP called Media Shout. In the class you will learn how to create a presentation as well as how to operate the program during worship.

Description:
This session will cover the basics of live audio engineering. It will also briefly cover the difference between analog versus digital consoles.

Remote Camera Controller

Production Training Day

Chris and I have come up with a date for a Production Training Day on September 13th from 10AM-12PM. This will give people a chance to come and volunteer for the first time and learn some new things or get the people that are all ready involved to come and learn more about this positions they currently fill, or maybe learn a new role as well. I will have more details on this soon.

Simultantion Services - Fall '08 (Oct-Nov)

I want to make sure we can put to a video and audio team for the 11:00 service. Not sure exactly how to schedule this just yet, but I want to make it just as important as the team at the 9:30 service. I am open to your thoughts and comments on this.

We need to charge people with this real commitment and responsibility and how important this ministry is to the life of PCNP . We cannot have “no shows” or “late comers”. The video becomes so crucial to the success of where we are heading as a church and our growth. I would say that we set call times for the Technical Director position and Camera Operators so they know what time they need to be here so they can go over the schedule of the service.

This fall will be a new and interesting thing for all of us, and we will all need to keep in constant communication with our thoughts, comments, questions, or concerns about how it is working week to week and I'm hoping this blog will help.
